Lineage of Abraham

Off SS Lesson, just rambling thoughts:

Scripture references from NKJV

So this morning, 4 a.m., I woke up trying to remember Abraham's lineage. And then I could only remember five of the lineage of Noah.

So that was my early morning with coffee study. 😊 I will list the lineages below. Here I wanted to share what Our Father reminded me of.

Our God is Awesome and He gives many chances for "Redemption":

-spared Cain, in Genesis 4:7 God said to Cain, "If you do well, will you not be accepted. And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it."

After this talk with God; he goes and kills Able, his brother. And God still protects him.

-Did he heed God's warning?

Noah's building of the Ark, a ginormous object lesson for all to see and change there direction.

-Did his neighbors heed the warning?

Abraham pleading with Our Lord to spare Sodom and Gomorah for the righteous sake. This interaction reminded me of Revelation 2 and 3 the Lord gives John the message to the churches, saying to us "To him who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. " There is a blessing for each.

Then in the following chapters repeatedly our Lord sends catastrophic circumstances, "But the rest of mankind...did not repent..."

Will we hear?

Will we repent?

Our Loving Father will give many opportunities to share His Love and Salvation, will we?

We don't know when our loved ones' time is up.
